As an Entrepreneur or business owner becoming a published author has the power to expand your opportunities.
I know from personal experience that being a published author can open doors which would have hitherto been closed.
For years, my writing had been limited to writing reports, letters and brochures to be used internally within the school or with parents, the wider community or the authorities.
I didn't ever think I would become an author.
It simply wasn’t on the agenda.
I needed a way to demonstrate my level of experience and expertise - and how these were transferable.
I realised that simply rocking up and saying, "I'm here," was unlikely to prove to be a successful approach.
I thought carefully about how I could prove my credibility and decided to write two partner books.
The first - "Kick Start Your Career," was designed for those who were entering the world of work for the first time.
The second partner book - "Manage Your Staff More Effectively" was designed to do exactly what the title suggests - to help managers get the best out of their teams.
From that start, I have now published 10 books – and you can too.
