When I published my first books, I used them as very successful calling cards.
I would send copies to decision makers within corporates and businesses.
This resulted in my being booked as a Transformational Leadership Trainer, facilitator and coach on a regular basis with lots of repeat business.
The books opened doors for me to talk to the decision makers - once the door was open it was entirely up to me to prove my worth if I wanted to be invited back.
But it was always the books that got me that vital opportunity – and you can use this tactic too.
